CUPID CUPCAKERY'S OWNER AND DESIGNER
After a disppointment with her own wedding cake in 1998, April Vuylsteke decided that she would learn how to design and bake cakes for all of the birthdays and parties she knew would be coming in the future as her family grew. What started as an occasional cake or cupcakes for family members and friends, grew in to a passion and talent for creating amazing sweets for customers. April has received training in specific sugarart topics from world reknown cake artists like Wendy Kromer (Martha Stewart Wedding Cakes), Toba Garrett, Colette Peters, Dianne Gruenberg, Marina Sousa, James Roselle, Norman Davis and Zane Beg. April's skills include making beautiful and lifelike flowers from gumpaste and fondant, modeling human and animal figurines, intricate piping, including the Lambeth and Oriental stringwork methods, mendhi (henna) cake piping, brush embroidery and many beautiful fondant techniques like pleating and draping. April is a member of the International Cake Exploration Societé and a proud partner with Icing Smiles.
THE BAKERY
Cupid Cupcakery designs and bakes custom cakes and cupcakes for all of life's important occasions: weddings, birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers and anniversaries. Depending on availability, Cupid Cupcakery can offer delivery in the evenings and on the weekends for a mileage charge of $0.50/mile, roundtrip, to the greater Cleveland, Akron and Northeast Ohio region. We regularly deliver as far west as Sandusky, south to Wooster, and east to Youngstown. A delivery window will be scheduled when your order is placed. Pick-up for orders is available at Cupid Cupcakery in the evenings and on the weekends between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. A pick-up window will be scheduled when your order is placed.
